Furthermore\, on Thursday 8 December there will be a poster session where you can present your EO-based applications\, services or tools. Furthermore\, the session will explore the contribution of ocean observations to the DTO and the further needs created in this framework. Presentations will cover European funded projects – EDITO infrastructure and model lab\, ILIAD\, EuroSea H2020 as well as include speakers from EuroGOOS and EOOS.  This will be followed by a panel discussion. \n EU polar observation – challenges ahead in terms of technology and governance\n\n\n8 Dec | 11:15 – 12:45 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCo-chairs: Nicole Biebow (AWI) & Renuka Badhe (European Polar Board)  \nThis session will present current state of the art for EU polar observation in terms of technology improvement\, integration of observing systems\, data availability and sharing\, coordination and governance. Part of the objectives include to discuss the planned outcomes of recently started European funded Research and Development projects (under funding framework Horizon 2020) in this area\, shape collaborations\, and understand recent evolutions at the European Commission Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS) and the European Space Agency (ESA).
