Integrating Marine Litter Monitoring to Inform Action

The event builds on the UN Decade “Clean Ocean” Satellite activity One Integrated Marine Debris Observing System (IMDOS), and will focus on the need for monitoring marine litter as a global instrument to tackle global pollution.

15th EUMETSAT User Forum in Africa

Dar es Salaam

Taking place every two years, the Forum serves to facilitate the use of EUMETSAT satellite data throughout the continent in collaboration with African partners. Session 4 on 14 September will focus on the Blue Economy, addressing marine and great lake satellite applications.

7th International Marine Debris Conference

Busan

The conference will bring together governments, industry, academia, civil society, and all relevant stakeholders, to discuss the latest science, strengthen collaborations and find solutions to address the urgent, global problem of marine litter and plastic pollution.

7th Argo Science Workshop – October 2022

Brussels, Belgium

The workshop aims to bring together ocean science research that has employed Argo data and products to further improve our knowledge of the changing oceans and highlight the applications that the new OneArgo array is opening.

GEO Blue Planet Symposium 2022

This year's Sdymposium is specifically geared towards improving GEO Blue Planet’s engagement with African nations in an effort to expand the Earth observation community of practice, strengthen local capacity and provide access to resources, tools and services.
