The conference fosters dialogue\, experience sharing\, and future planning with European and international partners and stakeholders\, towards a more coordinated response to societal needs related to the ocean. \nThe first virtual edition of the conference will offer a vibrant scientific programme on oceanographic methods\, technologies\, and applications\, spanning ocean physics\, health\, and climate. Our marketplace is an opportunity to showcase your work\, while the interactive meeting platform will ease networking and matchmaking worldwide. \nClick here to register and for more information. The workshop will highlight the benefits of the global array to multiple users\, identify remaining observing system and data delivery gaps\, and motivate new commitments and partnerships. The workshop is organised by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)\, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI)\, and the State University of New Jersey (RUTGERS)\, with international coordination assistance from the G7 FSOI Coordination Centre\, and with financial support from NASA\, NOAA\, and NSF. \nThe workshop will present the initial international commitments to the Biogeochemistry-Argo system and discuss how to ensure that the combined investment meets the priorities of the G7 and international funders and stakeholders. The workshop will prioritise next steps with partners to ensure full implementation of the array and the international collaboration required to sustain the global biogeochemal Argo fleet into the future. For more information about the workshop\, click here. \nAbout the FSOI Coordination Centre \nThe EU4OceanObs action coordinator of the G7 FSOI works with the other G7 FSOI coordinators to form a distributed Coordination Centre that implements the initiative’s activities under the guidance of the G7 FSOI National Focal Points and the Working Group. The workshop is part of the G7 FSOI scoping activity to support the Global Biogeochemical-Argo Fleet. For more information on G7 FSOI activities\, click here. The summit is co-organised with satellite campuses in Hobart (Australia)\, Cape Town (South Africa)\, Mindelo (Cabo Verde)\, and Kiel (Germany). \nAudrey Hasson head of the EU Office of GEO BP Planet will participate in the Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOP) for Ocean Solutions event. ECOP will host informal interactive events to share their perspectives on ocean solutions around the summit’s main sessions\, as well as cross-cutting themes that emerge throughout the programme. GEO Blue Planet is one of the event’s partners. \nFor more details\, click here. \n  URL:https://www.eu4oceanobs.eu/event/ocean-visions-summit-towards-a-global-ecosystem-for-ocean-solutions/ LOCATION:Online Event ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.eu4oceanobs.eu/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/OceanVisionsSummit2021.jpg END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
